''If you can give just 1% of your time and 100% of your heart to animal welfare, the change you create will be far greater than you imagine. Compassion doesn’t need grand gestures; it begins with small, consistent acts of care. This belief is what inspired me to start Sahaya Society for Animal Lovers, a space where like-minded people can come together to turn their love for animals into real impact. When we unite even in small ways, we create something powerful. Through Sahaya Society, I want to build a community that chooses kindness, takes action, and helps both humans and animals live in harmony.'' - Tanya Thackersey

Tara's journey into animal welfare began when her family brought Louie, her dog, into their home. Louie opened her heart to the unconditional love and innocence of animals. Deeply moved by their vulnerability, Tara, along with her sister Tanya, has been actively engaged in supporting causes that protect and uplift animals. Unable to turn away from their suffering, she now wishes to take a more active role in bringing change by creating Sahaya Society, a platform dedicated to building a world where animals receive care, compassion and respect they deserve.
